This was important to us because we want every Wild Wood board to look great and work brilliantly.
This versatile range is ideal for preparing food including cutting, chopping & carving of any kind. Our boards are designed to be used all day, every day and when cared for will last a long time. They are also ideal for serving cheese, tapas, mixed platters, pizzas and cakes.
We are a ‘Brand for Good’, meaning that we donate to worthy environmental causes. The key way we donate (every month) is via One Tree Planted, however, at various times we also donate to other cause such as B1G1 and Rainforest Alliance.

Wild Wood boards are special for several reasons:
we only use the heartwood of the Acacia tree limbs. The heartwood is the inner core (we don’t use the outer core or sapwood and bark). Heartwood material is more mature than the rest of the limb and this means the wood fibres are settled ensuring our boards are less likely to warp or crack. It also guarantees a superb full grain finish on all our acacia wood boards, which is warm and inviting and will be appreciated more as it gracefully ages.
we search for the best quality Acacia wood from plantations which can ensure durability. To this we add design elements which are timeless, suitable for all homes, and home chefs, and able to be passed down through generations.
Wild Wood is our own brand and is part of our small family business. It all formally started in December 2004, but our chopping board designs and ideas had been used by numerous international companies and brands for many years before that. It just took us a little while to build up the courage and belief to launch our own business.
One of the key principles of good design is usability. A well-designed chopping board should not only look great but also serve its intended function. Our best Wild Wood chopping boards are designed for home chefs, and are both stunning in appearance, and also practical – featuring wide juice lanes to prevent spills, undercut handles for easy lifting, and handcrafted rounded edges for comfort. when we develop a new idea or design it is always tested at home. Once the design or idea is reasonably settled, we have several samples made and then test them at home to make sure they work the way we want them to.

After use, Hand Wash in warm soapy water, then it is best to dry your board in a dish rack or pat it dry. Do not leave your board to dry in the sun as the intense heat caused by the sun could warp your board. Do not soak your board in water, and you should never place it in the dishwasher.
Depending on how often you use your board, we would recommend oiling it regularly, about every second month. The best guide is when your board is looking pale, or dry, then it needs conditioning (oiling). Using a paper towel, apply a coat of vegetable oil to the board. Wipe off the excess oil and let the rest soak into your board over approx. 15-20 minutes. Then your board should be looking like new.
Wooden boards are the best boards to use for any cutting, chopping or carving of food in your home. Wooden boards are kind to your knives, last a long time, and look great. They are easy to clean and maintain, and look better as they age. Wood is an eco-friendly material and this is an important thing to consider when purchasing a new board. Importantly wooden boards contain natural anti-bacterial properties ensuring they are safer than any other material.
